IRNTU in the finals of the WorldSkills Russia National Championship presented five students

Students act in four competencies of the II National Interuniversity Championship on standards "Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia)".

All of them are winners of the II Open Interuniversity Championship on WorldSkills Russia standards, which was held in May at the Irkutsk Technical University. Larissa Sheshukova, head of laboratories at the department of surveying and geodesy, Alexei Fesak, training master at the department of industrial automation, Alexey Fesak, associate professor at the automated systems department, Stanislav Grigoriev, head of e-learning, WorldSkills curator at Irkutsk Technical University Nikita Lukianov went to the capital as mentors.

Anastasia Leskina will demonstrate her knowledge and skills in the competence of “3D modeling for computer games”, Ilya Lisitsyn will show mastery in the direction of “Industrial Automation”. “Network and system administration” is Victoria Kopylova’s favorite “fad,” and Mikhail Seleznev and Peter Fedorov will be in the competence of “Geodesy”.

Intellectual competitions are held in Moscow at the site of one of the pavilions of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements, the results will be summed up on November 29. Within four days, more than 400 students from 93 leading Russian universities will compete in professional skills in 44 competencies. Previously, the contestants showed good results in the qualifying tournaments.

 

The main goal of the championship is to increase the demand for vocational education, based on the real needs of employers. In addition to the competitive part, the program includes business events - presentations, seminars and round tables, the main topic of which is the successful development of WorldSkills Russia in the regions. Representatives of Softline will hold a master class for students on “The development cycle and creating a physical prototype of a product using specialized software and hardware”, PICASO 3D employees organize a discussion on “3D education: trends, prospects, success stories”, Skyeng coordinates a meeting on the topic “Digital university transformation.

Based on the results of the competition, recommendations will be developed based on the WorldSkills standards for improving university educational programs. In addition, participation in the championship will give students the opportunity to adequately assess their level of training and the chances of employment after completing their studies. The XLV World Championship in professional skills will be held in Kazan in August 2019.

 

Note that INRITU is an associate partner of the Union "Agency for the development of professional communities and working personnel" Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia). In October 2017, the university held competitions in eight competencies. The winning team went to the I National Championship, where Anna Belykh became the second in the competence "3D modeling of computer games." Stanislav Grigoriev, an assistant professor of the automated systems department, prepared it for the competition.

The final competition in 44 competencies took place in Moscow on November 27-28. Over 450 students from 43 regions of Russia became participants. 93 universities fought for the awards. Medals were won by contestants from 30 regions of Russia. Most of all medals from MEPI.


Gold medals were won by students of the survey and geodesy department Mikhail Seleznev and Peter Fedorov


 

Awards to the winners were presented at a meeting on December 3 by rector Mikhail Kornyakov. He stressed that Mikhail and Peter scored 540 points, ahead of rivals from the Krasnodar Territory, the Oryol Region and the Primorsky Territory. “Active participation in the WorldSkills Standards Championship will help us make training programs more practice-oriented, and students - competitive and in demand in the labor market. Congratulations to Michael, Peter and the staff of the department of surveying and geodesy with a well-deserved victory, "said Mikhail Kornyakov.
