According to the decision of the 50th Presidium Meeting, the XIX International Congress for Mine Surveying will be held in Cape Town, South Africa in 22-25 September 2026. The main organizer is the Institude of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa.

Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa, the legislative capital of South Africa, the capital of the Western Cape Province, and a part of the metropolitan area of Cape Town. The South African Parliament and numerous government departments are also located in the city. Cape Town is renowned for its beautiful natural scenery and docks. The population of Cape Town is approximately 4.01 million.
